How to Get the Molten Mutation
A Volcano has erupted in Grow a Garden, bringing with it the chance for your crops to get the Molten Mutation. This was a new mutation added to the game on June 14, 2025, as part of the Working Bees and Crafting Update. Here's everything you need to know about how to get it, and what multiplier you'll receive for Molten crops.
How to Get the Molten Mutation
The Molten Mutation can only be applied when there is a Volcano occurring. This is described as "an epic and natural disaster" with no clear indicator how often this event is likely to occur. We've already seen a glimpse of it, however, as the Volcano erupted shortly before the Working Bees and Crafting Update was deployed.
So far, it's been an admin event. But, whenever it occurs, you'll need to be logged in and loaded into a sever -- either public or private -- to ensure your garden experiences the heat. When the Volcano erupts, Molten Lava flies down in blocks, and will scorch your garden.
What Does the Molten Mutation Do?
The Molten Mutation gives plants bright hues of yellow, orange, and red, as well as a smoking effect to signify they've been scorched. The best bit is, it also applies a 25x value multiplier to your fruit, so expect plenty of Sheckles for your Molten crops!
